1957 Studebaker Golden Hawk

·  Built from 1956-1958: designed by world famous Industrial designer Raymond Lowey. Considered a precursor to the muscle cars of the 1960s.

·  Powered by a "Sweepstakes" 289 CI V8 with a McCulloch supercharger added to produce 275 HP (Factory original).

·  Capable of 0-60 in 7.8 seconds and a top speed of 125 mph:it could out-perform the Chrysler 300 as well as the Corvette and Thunderbird.

·  Specific to the Golden Hawk are special fiberglass tailfins as well as a fiberglass section of the hood to accomodate the supercharger.

·  The car features power steering, independent front suspension, live rear axle and four wheel hydraulic power brakes.

·  The interior is tailored with gold pleated upholstery, padded dash, seat belts, machine turned dash, heater, radio and an electric clock.

·  It has full instrumentation that includes a tachometer and a vacuum gauge for engine monitoring.

·  The original price was $3,295.

·  23,000 original miles.
